Inauguration of Tele-Medicine in Al-Raazi Hospital

Great news for the residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

CBR Town's Phase-I Al-Raazi Hospital launches Free Online Tele-Medicine service to help and serve the Patients remotely amidst the corona epidemic in the federal capital, Islamabad.
The free service of online tele-medicine will benefit all the people of Pakistan, especially Islamabad and Rawalpindi from AL-RAAZI HOSPITAL.
It was formally inaugurated yesterday by the Registrar Cooperative Societies, ICT, Islamabad / Additional Deputy Commissioner General Islamabad Mr. Kamran Cheema, President CBR Society Mr. Altaf Ahmed Bhat along with Secretary CBR Mr. Muhammad Saleem Khan and MD Al-Raazi Hospital Dr. Iftikhar Burni.
On the occasion, Registrar Cooperative Societies, ICT, Islamabad Mr. Kamran Cheema inspected various departments of Al-Raazi Hospital and paid tribute to CBR ECHS Management and said that CBR Town’s Al-Raazi Hospital has become a model for Cooperative Housing Societies of Islamabad and other housing societies which must followed.
Registrar Cooperative Societies, ICT, Islamabad Mr. Kamran Cheema was briefed about the tele-medicine facility by the President CBR ECHS Mr. Altaf Ahmed Bhat and MD Al-Raazi Hospital Dr. Iftikhar Burni.
Registrar Cooperative Societies, ICT, Islamabad Mr. Kamran Cheema said that the efforts of the Al-Raazi hospital and CBR management to deal with the Corona outbreak are appreciative. We assure that the Co-operative Department will give all possible support to the hospital, for which the Commissioner Islamabad Mr. Amir Ali Ahmed and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Hamza Shafqat will visit the hospital soon. CBR Society and Al-Raazi Hospital are thriving under the supervision of President Mr. Altaf Ahmed Bhat and Secretary Mr. Muhammad Saleem Khan, and the Tele-Medicine inaugurated today is the biggest step taken in such a testing time.
On this occasion, President CBR Co-operative Housing Society Mr. Altaf Ahmed Bhat offered Registrar Co-operative Societies, ICT, Islamabad Mr. Kamran Cheema that if the Co-operative department provides plots for hospitals in all Housing Societies, we will help them to build hospitals like Al-Raazi Hospital to serve the community.
He said that tele-medicine is necessary for citizens in contemporary times, as a lot of people who get sick but cannot visit hospitals because of fear of corona epidemic. So we decided to provide tele-medicine to all citizens for the diagnosis and treatment of their disease from a universal number. And anyone could call and get online help from respective specialists while sitting at home.
President CBRECHS Altaf Ahmed Bhat further said that there are 100 beds at Al-Raazi Hospital and highly trained and professional staff treat all kinds of diseases, while it is free for the needy. Furthermore, the maternity ward is large enough so that women do not have to go far away for medical needs.
Bhat appreciated the efforts of the Administration of Al-Raazi hospital and Management of CBRECHS, especially the hospital in-charge Dr. Iftikhar Burni and thanked Kamran Cheema and Inspector Asim Khan.
On this occasion, Dr. MD Iftikhar Ali Burney of the hospital along with Media Coordinator CBRECHS Sheikh Umer Hanif gave a full briefing on tele-medicine and showed it to the audience by DEMO. The hospital will have tele-medicine facilities in the morning and evening hours.
Secretary Society Muhammad Saleem Khan, Akhlaq Masood Sindhu, Focal Person of Al-Raazi Hospital Haji Mohammad Farooq, Inspector Cooperative Asim Khan, Hospital Admin Usman Saeed, Shabbir Sheikh, Sheikh Muhammad Umer, Hammad Mir, Shoaib Ahmed, Engineer Muhammad Afzal and others were present on the occasion.
