Amendments in By-Laws of Cooperative Societies Department, ICT.

All cooperative housing societies within the ICT are required to refrain from using any official name, or any government agency name. In view of the directive, the Registrar Islamabad has issued show cause to all the housing societies to change their names within three weeks. Orders have been issued to 24 private housing societies using official names. According to the order, the housing societies have been given three weeks to change their names. Housing societies will notify the Registrar's Office after the name change. Strict action will be taken against these societies in case of violation and after the given time.
